There are so many dynamics at play with this song. Like a clever switch up from, “bye (boy bye!)” to, “(come) by”. Don’t be fooled into thinking this song is a lullaby, catchy as it is!

By By By took me by surprise! Angelica softly but rapidly chants the ‘by’ and ‘bye’ in the chorus to great effect. This song has all the makings of a cult classic R&B song.
